Nationality Requirements Due to the nature of the programs we support, certain roles may require candidates to meet U.S. nationality requirements and be eligible to obtain a security clearance. Position Summary Provides basic maintenance of records and customer service to vendors, customers and other internal functions regarding shipments to or from UM.

Requirements

  • Typically, a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 1+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides shipping services including bill of ladings, packing slips, export paperwork, or compliance documents.
  • Ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements.
  • Provides hazardous goods documentation as required for shipping products.
  • Provides shipping receiving services ensuring that all incoming materials are recorded in the ERP system, marked properly for inventory and transported to the appropriate location.
  • Coordinates shipment identifying the most efficient and cost-effective rates to meet contract delivery requirements.
  • Loads and unloads deliveries by hand or using material handling equipment, moving materials throughout the assigned facility as needed.
  • Researches and resolves material shipping issues including invoicing.
