About The Position

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk I plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of shipping and receiving operations. This position is responsible for verifying, recording, and maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments, as well as managing the inventory control process. The Shipping/Receiving Clerk I will be responsible for managing and fulfilling stock requirements to support our daily train operations.

Requirements

• Must be at least nineteen years of age at the time of hire to meet Xanterra/GCR vehicle policy.
• Must have the ability to safely operate a hand truck and or forklift to move, convey, or hoist shipments from the shipping-and-receiving platform to the storage and/or work area.
• Possess a valid Arizona Driver's License and comply with the Xanterra/GCR Vehicle Policy.
• Must have a working knowledge of Word, Excel, and inventory tracking software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in shipping and receiving
• Familiarity with Warehouse inventory & Supply Chain Management System

Responsibilities

• Fully understand and support Xanterra's Mission Statement, cultural pillar, community commitment and Core Values.
• Responsible for receiving and recording all incoming and outgoing merchandise and material from multiple shippers.
• Responsible for unpacking and examining incoming shipments; rejecting damaged items, recording shortages, and corresponding with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Responsible for tracking and securing all paperwork making sure each product item goes to the correct location.
• Responsible for examining outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Responsible for determining and coordinating methods of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Responsible for daily deliveries of incoming product to correct departments.
• Responsible for organizing and arranging warehouse product for an efficient processing of visual counts; to ensure a timely and accurate update of computer inventory; matching product with labels on shelf and arranging products in overhead racking for easy identification.
• Responsible for rotating inventory by date to avoid aged inventory.
• Responsible for pulling stock for the daily train.
• Responsible for understanding and adhering to all Ecologix prescribed Environmental Management Systems (EMS) policies and corporate commitments to maintain ISO 14001 goals and guidelines; reduce, reuse and recycle program.
• Other duties as assigned.
