About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving CDL Driver is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. The driver will receive shipments, examine, unpack, and check for accuracy, while also validating rejects, damaged items, and shortages. The role includes monitoring warehouse operational procedures, maintaining organization and cleanliness of storage areas, and preparing outbound shipments according to established guidelines. The driver will conduct pre-trip inspections of trucks and trailers, ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards, and will safely load, transport, and unload components to customer job sites or company facilities. The position requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable state and federal transportation laws and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Clean and valid Class A Driver's License.
  • 3-5 years of Class A CDL driving experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience with gooseneck trailers.

Responsibilities

  • Receive shipments, examine, unpack, and check for accuracy.
  • Validate rejects, damaged items, and shortages, notifying appropriate parties.
  • Count, sort, and place stock materials on racks, shelves, or in bins.
  • Monitor warehouse operational procedures and maintain parts/warehouse inventory.
  • Prepare outbound shipments per established company guidelines.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of trucks and trailers.
  • Safely load, transport, and unload components to customer job sites or company facilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transportation laws and DOT regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
