About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving Associate ensures the accuracy and completion of all shipping-related documentation and processes. This includes verifying orders, closing, reporting, and invoicing within GSSII, preparing combined warehouse shipments, and coordinating the shipment of all miscellaneous products across the plant. The role supports efficient logistics operations while upholding company, safety, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years’ experience working in a mechanical or industrial environment preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Understanding workflow impact and inventory control.
  • Forklift Certification.
  • Lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required.
  • May perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities

  • Verify the accuracy of all orders and complete closing procedures in GSSII.
  • Perform reporting and invoicing tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ship miscellaneous items for the entire plant as required.
  • Organize, maintain, and file all shipping-related paperwork.
  • Execute import/export procedures in compliance with applicable government rules and regulations.
  • Order and maintain adequate stock of all shipping supplies.
  • Process purchase orders for shipments to outside vendors and ship orders to them as required.
  • Receive in outside vendor work orders and process them onto the next operations physically and in the work order handling system along with GSSII.
  • Schedule truck pick-ups and coordinate with carriers as needed.
  • Operate forklifts safely and effectively.
  • Load or unload trucks in accordance with safety and quality standards.
  • Receive incoming shipments and process them through the appropriate systems before delivering them to the end users.
  • Assist with other MPL production related tasks as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with the ISO standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
  • Adhere to all company rules and safety policies.
