Base pay rate is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory flow for the plant. That includes material ordering to maintain an adequate supply of inventory to support production and distribution within the guidelines set by management and corporate leadership for inventory levels and periodic turns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience with forecasting, purchasing, and supply chain principles
  • Strong understanding of inventory audit practices (cycle count systems, and periodic physical inventory.)

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments of materials, products, and supplies.
  • Inspect deliveries for damage, defects, or discrepancies.
  • Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents.
  • Record items received in inventory management systems.
  • Label and store materials in appropriate locations.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile with records.
  • Organize and maintain stockroom or warehouse space.
  • Assist in managing inventory levels and notifying management of shortages or overstock.
  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Maintaining slow moving inventory and identifying opportunities to reduce aged material and increase turns
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements in production, warehousing, packaging, and shipping departments
