We take care of our team, support each other and cultivate a sense of belonging for all. We are currently looking for a full-time Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support at our TC Huntley plant. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk you will be responsible for performing duties to efficiently receive, store, and distribute materials. This includes processing incoming shipments and preparing customer orders for timely shipment.Schedule: Monday through Friday, 12pm – 8pm. Competitive pay with a starting range of $22-$23 per hour. The listed schedule will also include a $0.75 shift differential.

Responsibilities

  • Unload trucks and receive incoming material, check vendor packing list with items received and verify accuracy of items with purchase orders.
  • Complete all required paperwork including noting discrepancies and damages on packing list.
  • Place stock and non-stock items in appropriate locations.
  • Prepare all orders for shipment including pulling the correct items, wrapping finished goods pallets with the automatic stretch wrapper, attach labels, prepare bills of lading, contact carrier for pick-up and load trucks.
  • Prepare UPS shipments on manifest system, package items, apply labels, stage items and close out of the manifest system.
  • Maintain stock and stocking locations.
  • Notify supervisor to order all required shipping supplies when needed.
  • Inspect customer returned goods for accuracy and condition.
  • Contact carriers for rate quotes on special shipments to obtain the best rate.
  • Upholds all ethical standards associated with safety, quality and food safety policies and procedures within the facility, including the TC Transcontinental Code of Conduct and values.
  • Complies with all the standards that are followed in the TC Huntley plant, including, but not limited to-Health, Safety, Wellness (HSW), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF), Continuous Improvement (CI) and any other processes established within the TC Huntley plant.
  • Responsible for reporting all safety, quality, and food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
  • Performs responsibilities to expected outcomes.

  • Identify issues and problems and reports those issues to management.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
