POSITION SUMMARY The purpose of this job is to plan, set up, prepare shipments of materials, components, and finished goods to customers, internally, and third-party warehouses. This position will monitor incoming shipments of materials and components and plan for storage accordingly.
Requirements
- Former warehouse experience.
- Experience with fork trucks and pallet jacks.
- Basic computer skills, emails, word documents are needed and ability to learn a warehouse ERP system are required.
- Ability to become forklift certified if not already.
Responsibilities
- Review documentation/shipment and planning paperwork
- Set up and prepare product for shipping
- Move product in and around the shipping area
- Coordinate with appropriate shipping companies, schedule pick ups
- Load into/onto transport vehicles
- Resolve discrepancies with other departments relative to shipping issues
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed to perform job
- Operate fork trucks and pallet jacks
- Participate in maintaining ISO Certification and Lean events
- Receive in items and components physically and within the company ERP system.
- Utilize computers for entering information into ERP systems, emails, labels, and communicating with customers, vendors and team members.
- Positive Interactions with truck drivers and other externally facing customers, suppliers, and vendors.
