About The Position

1st shift (Monday - Friday 9:30am-6pm) Shipper needed in our environmentally controlled, extremely clean, state-of-the-art facility in South Bend, Indiana. The Shipper is responsible for the boxing and processing of Pick Suggestions while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and quality. Possessing a basic understanding of boxing and processing orders is helpful in this position. $1000 Sign On Bonus!!! Requirements

0 - 1 years of boxing and processing experience
Prior boxing and processing experience in a faced-paced environment
Basic math and counting skills
Receptive to cross-training in other areas of Shipping
Self-motivated
Detail-oriented
Strive to achieve established boxing metric
Must be a team player
Quality focused with a high emphasis on accuracy
High School Diploma or GED Preferred or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Basic ability to read and interpret Pick Suggestions and Work Orders.
Basic understanding of PEI Quality Policy, FOD, and AS9100 Overview.
Basic understanding of FIFO (First In – First Out) practices
Knowledge of Product Identification and lot traceability as it pertains to boxing and processing orders.
Basic computer skills dealing with UPS World Ship and Fed Ex
Achieve effective level in primary position as defined in Shipping Skills Matrix
Assists in training new employees in core skills of primary position.
Manual lifting up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 70 lbs. on occasion (with assistance).
Repetitive detailed work with hands for 8+ hours of the day.
Ability to sit or stand for up to 8+ hours.
Be able to reach overhead with or without the aid of a ladder or step stool.
Ability to Grip/Grasp at least 8 hours of the day.

Responsibilities

Process Pick Suggestions utilizing UPS World Ship and Fed Ex Ship Manager.
Box parts according to shipping instructions and/or special instructions.
Receive and put away shipping supplies
Ensure that Work Instructions are being followed and all processes are being met
Ability to utilize weigh scale in the counting of parts
Read, understand, and complete all Shipping Department documentation and work instructions to the PEI-Genesis, ISO9001, and AS9100 standard.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area using 5S principles.
