About The Position

The position involves organizing and conducting the movement of product, work-in-process, finished goods, and materials to ensure maximum efficiency. The role requires the operation of material handling equipment, including hand jacks and motorized forklifts, to move palletized material, load/unload trucks, and manage material within the plant. The individual will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of material transfers, producing shipping/receiving reports, and performing various administrative duties related to shipping and receiving. Effective communication with transportation suppliers and coordination of trucking schedules for outbound shipments are essential. The role demands adherence to safety procedures, collaboration with co-workers, and a commitment to continuous learning and skill application.

Requirements

  • Previous similar experience
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Working knowledge of Mack Molding Company's manufacturing environment and material flow
  • Ability to use computers
  • High School reading and math skills or equivalent
  • Inventory tracking / organization skills
  • Able to work flexible work schedules/OT

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and conducts movement of product, work-in-process, finished goods, and materials for maximum efficiency
  • Straps/bands and wraps product for shipment
  • Operates material handling equipment, such as hand jacks and motorized fork lifts
  • Moves palletized material with hand or motorized fork trucks including loading/unloading trucks and moving material within the plant
  • Brings packaging, molded product, and hardware to staging area
  • Maintains accurate records of material transfers from work-in-process to finished goods
  • Operates scales accurately
  • Produces various shipping/receiving reports and performs administrative duties, including packing slips, bills of lading, and receivers as needed
  • Arranges orders and communicates with transportation suppliers regarding shipping and receiving of goods
  • Ensures communication/information flow between departments and shifts is maintained and effective
  • Uses the computer system to accurately and effectively track inventory transactions and coordinates shipping/receiving functions
  • Assists with coordinating trucking schedules for out-bound shipments
  • Maintains open order files and issues receivers
  • See, read, and follows work instructions and safety procedures
  • Works with co-workers in a safe, professional, and cooperative manner
  • Maintains good attendance, flexibility in job assignments, adaptable to changing business needs, and continually learns and applies new skills
  • Trains others on knowledge and skills mastered
