Job Summary: Responsible for accurately and efficiently handling incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation, and maintaining organized inventory within the warehouse.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Shipper/Receiver or in a similar warehouse role.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain one quickly.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials, comparing them against purchase orders and packing lists for accuracy and damage.
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards and customer specifications, including labeling, weighing, and creating shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, manifests).
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, store, and retrieve goods.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by performing cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and reporting stock levels.
  • Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving areas for cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments (production, sales) and external carriers regarding shipment status and issues.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
