About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Sr Materials Specialist with at least 5 years of hands-on experience to join our highly skilled team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical components, subassemblies, and systems, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong aptitude for working with tools, blueprints, and technical specifications. In this role, you will be responsible for: § Receiving incoming materials and verify accuracy against POs, packing slips, and Certificates of Conformance § Enter receipts and route materials through the WMS, ensuring correct part numbers, lot/serial controls, and storage locations. § Identify damaged, missing, or incorrect items and escalate per Quality procedures. § Pick, pack, and prepare shipments according to customer and DoD requirements. § Generate packing lists, BOLs, carrier labels, and export documentation when required. § Process shipments through the WMS and maintain traceability for defense-related hardware. § Maintain full compliance with AS9100, ITAR/EAR export controls, DFARS, and internal company procedures. § Follow chain-of-custody, UID tracking, and proper labeling standards.

Requirements

2–4 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
Hands-on experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for receiving
Ability to interpret packing lists, part numbers, and quality documentation (COC, MSDS).
Basic computer proficiency (email, Excel, shipping portals).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Must be a U.S. Person (citizen or permanent resident) due to ITAR/EAR requirements

Nice To Haves

Experience in defense or aerospace environments.
Knowledge of AS9100 and government packaging/labeling standards.
Hazmat (DOT/IATA) shipping certification preferred.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities
