Shipper/Receiver
About The Position
Our Shippers/Receivers help achieve world-class store performance while contributing to and supporting the overall branch strategy, performance, and growth. Shipper/Receivers receive orders, process outgoing shipments, and help maintain the overall organization of the branch. What you’ll do: Receive purchase orders and transfers and receives inter-company transfers Process outgoing shipments of products via UPS or other delivery methods Document and resolves discrepancies related to transfers and purchase orders Stock product in correct warehouse location Process customer orders and provides technical advice Pull orders and prepares loads for delivery to customer Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance Maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work quickly and accurately
- Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience preferred
- Landscape, Nursery, or Irrigation product knowledge is helpful
