About The Position

Printpack Jackson is looking for a qualified candidate to join our team as a Shipper/Receiver! This position will work 1st shift (7AM-3PM M-F) and will report to the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor. Starting pay for this position is $19.96/hr. Requirements

  • High school Diploma/ GED
  • Production experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Motivated self-starter able to work independently
  • High level of customer service
  • High level of organizational skills and the ability to effectively redirect efforts on short notice
  • Able to work overtime on short notice and some weekends
  • Must display core values
  • Last performance review rated "Performer" or higher
  • No disciplinary actions beyond verbal warning within past 120 days

Nice To Haves

  • Previous forklift experience
  • General knowledge of the day-to-day operations of shipping/receiving in a warehouse
  • Must be able to quickly attain proficiency with Word, Excel, Crystal Reports, WMS and Prism

Responsibilities

  • Read and understand Bills of Lading & Master Bills
  • Working with drivers on load numbers, time, dock location
  • Provide back-up coverage, as needed, and other duties as assigned
  • Forklift operation
  • Provide, but not be limited to, coordinating and planning the shipments of finished products as well as receiving raw materials
  • Accurately ship finished goods
  • Unload and store raw materials
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Entering data correctly
  • Conducting cycle counts
  • Verify that raw materials and finished goods, both received and shipped, meet quality standards
  • Ensure accurate movement of raw materials and finished goods in Prism
  • Properly store finished goods and raw materials
  • Loading of late out bound trucks and LTL’s
  • Maintaining a safe, clean work environment
