About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for preparing, packaging, and processing all outbound customer shipments and supporting inbound material handling activities. This role ensures accuracy, quality, and timeliness while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shipping environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Excellent attention to detail and strong follow-through skills.
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong visual inspection skills for materials and finished goods.
Forklift experience preferred (certification a plus or willing to be trained).

Responsibilities

Gather, verify, pack, box, invoice, label, and prepare all customer shipments for delivery.
Create and attach appropriate shipping documentation and labels.
Assist with loading, unloading, and distribution of materials, supplies, and shipments.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
Perform visual inspections of incoming and outgoing materials to ensure quality standards are met.
Stop production and immediately notify the Shipping Lead, Quality, or Supervisor if any quality issues are identified.
Maintain adequate shipping materials and supplies to support timely and efficient shipments.
Keep shipping and packaging areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
Follow all safety, quality, and work instructions while applying common-sense problem solving.
Safely use basic material handling equipment, including hand trucks and forklifts.
