About The Position

JELD-WEN is one of the world's largest door and window manufacturers, with more than 22,000 employees operating in 24 countries globally. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, JELD-WEN designs, produces and distributes an extensive range of interior and exterior doors. Manufacturing Team Members will work shifts from Monday to Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM. Depending on assignment, team members may perform various duties including maneuvering trucks, inspecting incoming loads, operating forklifts, loading trucks, and assisting in inventory counts.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally team lift anything exceeding 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Maneuver trucks within the parking lot
• Place empty trailers in docks from yard, or move from yard to dock doors as needed and directed
• Inspect incoming loads
• Check shipping documents for correct customer information
• Operate propane and electric forklift vehicles ('hi-lo')
• Perform start of shift preventative maintenance inspection
• Load semi-trucks and box trucks with required finished product
• Assist in inventory cycle counts as needed
• Material preparation and material handling
• Stage and package finished product for delivery
• Work overtime as needed to satisfy customer demands
• Perform other general warehouse duties as needed
