Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Shipper/Receiver I (1st Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $17.25 - $24.35 per hour. HOURS: 5:30AM - 2PM Why work at Eaton? What you’ll do: Utilizes knowledge, skills, and abilities to receive, store, distribute, and ship materials and finished goods within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. Maintains perpetual inventory of parts, raw materials, subassemblies, shipments, and finished goods. Maintains standards of quality, production, and safety; complies with all company policies and works as part of a team to ensure that daily goals are met. Safety: Responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, complying with JSA’s, wearing proper PPE, complying with the production attire policy, and assuring that the department has safe equipment and no risk is placed on their coworkers or themselves. Operates all mechanical equipment including forklift, pallet jack, and handcart safely. Takes responsibility for the safety of pedestrians in the plant and warehouse areas. Any safety issue identified should be reported immediately to supervisor or manager. General cleaning of shop areas and personal 5S/industrial housekeeping responsibility. Production: Works under limited supervision to receive, transfer, and ship parts and finished goods inventory according to the OMS/standard work for each operation. Verifies accuracy of incoming and outbound shipments by counting, weighing, or measuring items and comparing size, weight, description, and code numbers with information on invoice or packing slip and purchase orders; record any discrepancies or damage; signs for incoming fright Move inventory to various locations manually and by operating mechanical equipment, including fork lift, pallet jack, and handcart. Load and unload trucks at shipping docks with a delivery truck by forklift or by use of hand truck. Inventory cycle counts in the Assembly warehouse, MOV and shop floor. Also maintains computerized inventory records, take physical count periodically, and check against inventory control totals using computer; utilizes SAP software to move inventory and keep records of shipped and received inventory and finished goods. Maintains quality standards consistent with the Eaton’s Cooper Power Systems Quality Policy. Visually inspects incoming and outgoing inventory and finished goods. Takes ownership of the recognition and communication of quality issues. Also performs assigned miscellaneous duties within the scope of operations, which may not be specifically listed above.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma/GED from and accredited association
  • Ability to operate power industrial truck/equipment in a proficient and safe manner.
  • Ability to use a computer, navigates screens, and input data in SAP program efficiently.
  • Ability to read and write, simple math skills including adding and subtracting whole numbers and fractions.
  • Ability to communicate problems in product or quality in to supervisor or manager clearly and concisely.
