About The Position

As a Shipper/Receiver I at Sonoco, you will be responsible for moving product from the production line to the warehouse in a quick but safe manner. Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring excellent attendance and collaboration with various teams. The position requires a keen eye for spotting defects in packaging products and a commitment to safety and quality. You will be expected to maintain a clean and organized work area while performing all duties as designated by your supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• Manufacturing and warehouse experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Reliability, good initiative, commitment, and quality focus.
• Ability to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 49 lbs.
• Ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and understand shop orders and production documents.
• Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Valid forklift license required.

Responsibilities

• Consistently move product and place it in designated pack outs throughout the shift.

• Support Sonoco's quality and safety policies.
• Assist other departments as needed.
• Supply materials to packing areas and pull material for offline.
• Fill out appropriate paperwork consistently and accurately.
• Verify inventory levels and assist with inventory.
