Your Role Shipper/Receiver 2 is an Intermediate level shipping and receiving role responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments in a safe and quality focused manner. This role is responsible for the efficient movement, protection, storage, and control of materials and products across storage, warehousing, and disposal operations. The position requires the safe operation of material handling equipment, including hand trucks, fork trucks, and related tools, as well as accurate entry and verification of all material transactions. In addition, the role involves performing intermediate-level troubleshooting and investigations to ensure smooth and compliant operations. This is a C shift position Sun-Thurs 10:00pm- 6:00am.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of work experience in a material handling or warehousing position in a fast-paced GMP manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years’ experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or related environment.
  • 1+ years’ experience with ERP systems.
  • Certified in all areas of shipping and receiving or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of EHS, ISO, cGMP, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Intermediate computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Read, follow and understand operating procedures and documentation.
  • Certified trainer or equivalent.
  • Experience handling chemical and hazardous materials.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate level shipping and receiving duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Quality and Safety Specifications and GMP standards.
  • Place items in the warehouse by packing/unpacking and transporting using forklifts and pallet jacks as required.
  • Duties will also include packing, scanning, labeling, and counting materials.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental management systems.
  • Complete and verify accuracy of orders and complete transactions and documentation per GMP standards.
  • Ensure a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Proactive identification of safety, quality, and productivity concerns.
  • Actively report hazardous conditions or hazardous behaviors observed in the work area and the site.
  • Participate in sustainability initiatives while effectively collaborating with team members during shift changeovers, escalating issues as needed, and performing duties under limited supervision.
