About The Position

As a Shipper Loader/Palletizer Operator at International Paper, you will perform advanced level material handling for material processing. Your responsibilities will include completing daily pre-start forklift maintenance inspection reports, loading and unloading trailers, rail cars, and/or containers, and following proper trailer loading and unloading lock-out/tag-out procedures. You will also need to understand and follow load patterns according to trailer, railcar, bale size, and weight variables, participate in weekly and monthly inventory and reporting, and adhere to plant policies and guidelines.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• 3-6 months hands-on Industrial Plant manufacturing experience
• Corrugated industry experience preferred
• Sit down Forklift/pull pack experience preferred
• Ability to perform duties with or without accommodation
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to understand and communicate information
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler
• Ability to use basic shop math
• Ability to learn and follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team
