In your role as a Ship Operator, you will manage the ship's commercial trading utilization through efficient cargo stowage, quality control practices, and voyage planning and execution, consistent with port, terminal, and regulatory restrictions. Your responsibilities will include maintaining effective communication with customers, sending operational instructions to ships, ensuring compliance with safety, regulations, and company procedures, and managing proper documentation for each voyage. Additionally, you will support incident handling and approve operational costs related to each voyage, constantly focusing on optimizing intake and decreasing costs. As a Ship Operator, you will manage ship operations to ensure a commercially efficient journey by planning voyages in alignment with cargo stowage and port rotation requirements. You will maintain regular communications with customers regarding ETA’s and PTA’s, reinforcing a transparent operational process. Your responsibilities will include sending logistical instructions to the ship's crew, always ensuring these align with safety and regulatory obligations. You will confirm operational instructions with the ship's Captain, ensuring all actions are compliant with industry standards. You will be responsible for overseeing voyage documentation, ensuring all logs and reports are accurate and complete. Collaborating closely with the Operations Manager, you will work on optimizing vessel routes and managing bunker consumption to reduce costs. Moreover, you will handle any voyage-related incidents, ensuring they are documented and resolved efficiently using relevant company procedures.
