About The Position

S:US is seeking a Shift Supervisor for their women's shelter in Manhattan. This position is located at New York, NY, 10030. The Shift Supervisor provides supervision and training to Residential Specialists and Community Coordinators. Supervision includes, but is not limited to, ongoing individual supervisory meetings; building inspections, ongoing feedback regarding job performance; coordinating work schedules, timesheets and requests for time off; coordinating work assignments; evaluating paperwork and documentation including the Security Log and Maintenance Work Order Log books; coordinating security and maintenance staff training, development and evaluation. May be required to fulfill duties of residential aides and/or custodial personnel in their absence. Responsible for maintaining fire safety.

Requirements

  • F-80 certification is required.
  • Security license is mandatory but may be obtained within 6 months if hired.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Security or Building Maintenance is required.
  • Ability to provide crisis intervention utilizing good interpersonal skills with a high level of maturity and responsibility.
  • Experience in office management and/or staff supervision is required.
  • Experience working in a large residential/institutional setting with a special needs population is required.
  • Strong writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • NYS Driver's License preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaking preferred.
