About The Position

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising and supporting security staff during the afternoon shift. This role involves operating various security technologies, conducting walking patrols, and ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of the premises. The supervisor will also function as a leader for Security Officers and other personnel, ensuring that all post orders are followed and that required reports are filed. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to operate multiple forms of security technology.

Requirements

• Previous security experience is required
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to operate multiple forms of security technology
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support security staff during the afternoon shift
• Operate various security technologies, including site camera systems, X-ray screening equipment, and access control systems
• Conduct walking patrols and remain on your feet for extended periods
• Ensure the safety, security, and smooth operation of the premises
• Coach and discipline personnel as appropriate
• Train Security Officers and other company personnel
• Assist in the submission of payroll and personnel information
• Prepare, file, and submit various reports as required
• Inspect posts as scheduled and meet with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities
• Meet with client representatives to ensure security requirements are met
• Carry out supervisory duties including interviewing, orienting, and training employees
• Perform the duties of a Security Officer as needed
