About The Position

Onvo is a network of travel plazas, restaurants, and hotels with locations throughout Pennsylvania and New York. The Shift Supervisor (SS) is responsible for providing exceptional service to customers with an entrepreneurial, sales-driven spirit. A key priority includes assisting the GM/AM in the daily operation of the restaurant. Under the direction of the GM/AM, this position will also be responsible for maintaining inventories, cash control, restaurant appearance, and completing daily paperwork. The SS should strategically train and develop a productive store team whose primary focus is promoting the brand while offering exceptional customer service. The SS should inspire and encourage teamwork towards successfully achieving sales goals, upholding daily operations, and most importantly, creating a fun and energized environment. Requirements

  • Ability to strategically train and develop a productive store team whose primary focus is promoting our brand while offering exceptional customer service
  • Background in customer service and hospitality or this is your first job in the industry

Responsibilities

  • Responds to customer complaints and solicits customer feedback and input
  • Regularly coaches team to provide and maintain a consistent high level of customer service
  • Maintains a facility that is consistently “inspection ready” in all areas including food preparation, restrooms and all guest contact areas
  • Complies and maintains all Department of Health, internal company and brand inspection standards
  • Follows daily Onvo Safety Inspection/Emergency Response Protocols to quickly recognize and remove potential safety hazards to customers, employees and vendors while operating in a manner that does not put company property and assets at risk
  • Enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
  • Ensures compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws and ordinances
  • Responsible for establishing consistent high quality of food preparation and service while maintaining a professional restaurant image
  • Assists the GM/AM to ensure that the restaurant has a well-trained staff to meet and exceed operational standards
  • Maintaining inventories and store appearance
  • Treat inventory as if it is cash
  • Researching, discussing and reporting all inventory variances to the GM as early as possible
  • Making sure all storage areas are clean and products are well organized and labeled with the date received
  • Assists the GM/AM to ensure all shifts are covered and properly staffed
  • Coordinates daily assignments and activities of associates based on sales
  • Assures proper execution of all cash management activities, including accurate cash handling, credit card processing and safety procedures
  • Reporting any unexplained cash shortage over $5 to GM or District Manager (DM), Restaurants
  • Striving to be the best in the Brand
  • Keeping Restaurant in compliance with all Brand standards
  • Maintaining and ensuring a safe clean work environment
  • Passing all internal operations training and paperwork audit
  • Ensuring all brand sponsored inspections are at or above brand standards
  • Providing superior customer service to all of our guests
