Position Summary/Objective The Store Shift Supervisor provides daily support to the Assistant Store Manager through supervision and oversight of store quotas, inventory and stocking of merchandise for the retail store. The Store Shift Supervisor provides supervision to Sales Associates and ensures merchandise is stocked on the sales floor. Essential functions Oversees and supervises daily operations to include: Provide high level of quality service to customers, and operate sales register at point of sale; Train all new sales associates; Ensures merchandise is stocked on sales floor; Maintain inventory of store supplies; Conduct opening and closing processes for the store; Monitor on-going and full compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations; Ensure that all employees provide the highest level of customer service to secure maximum returns for the store; Ensure compliance with the SVdP’s Code of Ethics. Monitor on-going and full compliance with OSHA regulations to: Ensure all applicable regulations are following for equipment use; Ensure facilities remain in good, safe condition. Work with building maintenance and custodial staff to resolve any maintenance issues and ensure that facilities remain clean and safe. Maintain a strict policy of confidentiality and propriety relative to clients, donors, and staff. Assume responsibility for the overall store operations in the Assistant Store Manager’s absence. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable) The Store Shift Supervisor makes decisions that are routine in nature and follow established rules and procedures. Make recommendations concerning procedures that influence the achievement of production goals and operations. Consults with Assistant Store Manager regarding all concerns and/or decisions outside of normal and usual responsibilities. Assumes full responsibility for the overall management of logistics operations. Physical demands • Ability to frequently position/move self to reposition merchandise and other retail items/fixtures.
