Requirements

5+ years of leadership experience required, with experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds
Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools
Strong communication skills and positive attitude
Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening

Nice To Haves

2-5 years of plastic extrusion experience
Basic computer knowledge
Previous manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate activities of employees engaged in printing on plastic film using flexographic or gravure presses.
Monitor production schedules, adjust staffing or equipment use to meet targets, and minimize downtime.
Oversee setup, operation, and maintenance of printing presses and associated equipment.
Ensure proper color matching, registration, and print quality in alignment with customer specifications.
Conduct regular quality checks and resolve any product or process issues in real-time.
Collaborate with the extrusion and converting departments to ensure seamless flow of materials and information.
Mentor, and evaluate team members; enforce safety protocols and company policies.
Ensure staff is trained and growing in operator roles
Manage day to day responsibilities, engagement, and success of Material Handler Team
Maintain accurate production and downtime records; report metrics and improvement opportunities to leadership.
Manage inventory of inks, solvents, plates, and other printing supplies.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations including proper handling of chemicals and waste disposal.
Lead 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement efforts in the printing area.
