About The Position

The Shift Supervisor will work with the Site Project Manager, Site Training Manager and all Security Officers assigned to their shift, to ensure all training and certifications requirements are met for all personnel assigned to their shift, and operational issues that are systemic across the contract or specific to their site.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of four (2) years’ experience in law enforcement or a security related area, military is also acceptable for this requirement.
  • Must meet the minimum criteria of the Interagency Security Committee (ISC) Best Practices for Armed Security Officers in Federal Facilities
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Administer clear instructions to all security personnel assigned to the site and ensure every officer is fully familiar with the facility, post orders, and duty expectations.
  • Notify the chain of command promptly regarding all unusual, emergency, or significant incidents or conditions involving site security personnel.
  • Verify that all officers receive, understand, and acknowledge new, updated, or special instructions affecting their duties or site operations.
  • Conduct investigations into security-related incidents or concerns and submit detailed findings to the chain of command and the client as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date field file records for all employees assigned to the site, including time and attendance, disciplinary actions, commendations, promotions/demotions, and status or payroll changes.
  • Oversee post staffing to ensure complete coverage at all times, including coordinating coverage for vacations, illnesses, call‑offs, or emergent staffing needs.
  • Review all written documentation—including reports, timesheets, and logbook entries—for clarity, completeness, accuracy, and legibility.
  • Keep post orders and the site operations manual current, accurate, and reflective of any procedural or operational changes.
  • Maintain daily communication with contract officials to ensure contract requirements are being met and client expectations are fully satisfied.
  • Supervise all site security personnel, either directly or indirectly, ensuring consistent performance, professionalism, and adherence to policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support site operations and mission requirements.
