Help shape the future of recovery services in this transformative and rewarding role! We are seeking a Shift Supervisor to join our team at our residential location in Philadelphia, PA. Schedule: 3rd shift Position Details: This is a supervisory position designed to oversee, guide, train, and support direct support professionals in a transitional housing environment. Our service populations are individuals in the early stages of recovery from chemical and alcohol dependency, co-occurring disorders, serious mental illness, and homelessness. The main role of a Facility Attendant Shift Supervisor is to prioritize the safety of the individuals living in the program, by ensuring all direct support professionals working on their shift understand and are performing their job duties. The Facility Attendant Shift Supervisor will also be responsible for communicating any issues or incidents that happen on their shift to the Program Director.

Requirements

Valid Driver's License Preferred
18 years old minimum required
Prior experience in Mental Health Residential or Drug and Alcohol treatment setting is preferred
Interpersonal, Teamwork, and Problem-Solving Skills: Important for collaboration and effective communication.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Stress Management: Ability to manage stress and make decisions under pressure.
Handling Emotions: Managing anger, fear and hostility appropriately.
Independence and Multitasking: Ability to work alone and handle multiple priorities.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in confined or crowded areas.

Responsibilities

Oversee overall operations during assigned shifts.
Provide monthly supervision to Facility Attendants.
Communicate with referral sources/payers and complete requested documentation promptly.
Implement policies and procedures as directed by the Program Director or Merakey corporate office, ensuring compliance.
Ensure effective Facility Attendant processes and provide case consultations as needed.
Report issues and concerns immediately to the Program Director.
Follow Merakey Policy and Wellness Village Procedures for incident reporting and participate in the incident review process.
Maintain a safe, harassment-free, and culturally competent work environment.
Assist Program Director and Clinical Staff in developing social activities for residents.
Communicate local policies and procedures to staff, ensuring services are provided within the framework of local operating procedures.
Assign replacement staff and ensure appropriate coverage during shifts.
Monitor and ensure completion of staff training.
Participate in workgroups as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Director or Clinical Staff.
