About The Position

As a working team leader on the A shift - in the Injection Molding Department, you will be required to provide direction to the entire team while filling one of the roles on the crew. You will be expected to efficiently deploy personnel, participate in process improvements, Corrective actions, and comply with our manufacturing schedule while maintaining a safe and orderly workplace. You need to effectively communicate with your team as well as other shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Analyzing operating practices, forms of control, and personnel requirements, implementing change.
  • Show Leadership and constantly communicating with your team, especially Temporary workforce
  • Make certain you and team members perform all daily duties in a safe manner and follow all company SOP’s
  • Make sure team is producing at an average of 75% efficiency on all machines
  • Problem solving
  • Identify areas of concern and come up with some ideas.
  • Meet all company KPI’s (key Performance Indicators)
