About The Position

Ag Processing Inc is hiring for a Shift Supervisor at its new soy processing facility in David City, NE. This role involves assisting with day-to-day operations by providing management support throughout the plant. Key responsibilities include training employees, enforcing company policies and procedures, and ensuring quality standards are met. Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is a cooperative specializing in processing, selling, and transporting soybeans, grains, and related products. It is one of the largest soybean processing cooperatives globally, with plants producing products like animal feed, vegetable oil, and fuels. Founded over 40 years ago, AGP is a leading U.S. agribusiness with primary operations as a soybean processor/refiner, producing and marketing soybean meal, refined soybean oil, and biodiesel. Its owners include local and regional cooperatives representing approximately 200,000 farmers across the U.S. AGP operates 10 soybean plants, four soybean oil refineries, and three biodiesel production facilities, and also markets AminoPlus®, a high-performance soy bypass protein product.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school education or equivalent is required
  • Leadership skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using computers and other office equipment
  • Capable of sound decision making

  • Mechanically savvy

Nice To Haves

  • Five years or equivalent in related field is preferred
  • Technical degree is preferred
  • Knowledge of hazard communication standards and PSM, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide management support through supervising the plant workers' activities including training employees, determining methods for employee work, and scheduling
  • Monitor and maintain processing supply inventory through completing orders of supplies and documenting amount of supplies on hand
  • Enforce company policies and procedures
  • Develop and manage projects as assigned
  • Attend company meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
