About The Position

The Shift Supervisor plays a critical role in both front-of-house operations and back-of-house technical execution. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring seamless guest experiences while overseeing technical systems, exhibit functionality, and production support. This position is ideal for someone with experience in live events, exhibitions, AV systems, or production environments who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on setting.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum 1+ year of supervisory or team lead experience
  • Experience in technical operations, production, AV, events, or exhibitions
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage both people and systems in a live environment

Nice To Haves

  • Background in live events, theater, immersive experiences, museums, or installations
  • Familiarity with AV systems, projection mapping, VR equipment, or lighting systems
  • Experience with load-in/load-out or production setup
  • Retail or venue operations experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations across key areas including box office, VR experiences, and retail
  • Deliver and uphold a high standard of customer service
  • Address visitor inquiries and resolve issues professionally
  • Supervise and support staff to ensure smooth and safe operations
  • Represent Exhibition Hub in a professional and engaging manner
  • Monitor and troubleshoot exhibit systems including AV equipment, projection systems, lighting, VR setups, and interactive installations
  • Perform basic diagnostics and coordinate repairs or escalations as needed
  • Support installation (load-in) and deinstallation (load-out) of exhibition components
  • Ensure all technical elements are operating safely and efficiently throughout the shift
  • Work closely with technical teams, vendors, and management to maintain exhibit quality
  • Handle cash and POS systems accurately
  • Maintain inventory and assist with audits
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures
  • Enforce cleanliness, safety, and operational protocols across the venue
  • Hold staff accountable for performance and responsibilities
