About The Position

Responsibilities of a Shift Supervisor at Bull Moose include providing exceptional customer service, operating as the Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager (SM) and Assistant Store Manager (ASM), performing operational and transactional functions, handling customer service issues, issuing approvals for transactions as well as opening and closing the store.

  • Ability to organize, delegate, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and ability to implement and maintain with Bull Moose guidelines
  • Ability to handle cash and provide change without error.
  • Ability to prepare nightly deposit as necessary.
  • Communicates effectively with customers, members of management, vendors, and teammates
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Proven ability to motivate and influence others through personal actions and examples

Nice To Haves

  • High school or equivalent
  • Part-time or full-time managerial experience
  • Minimum six months Team Member experience with Bull Moose or equivalent experience with another retailer in a position of Retail Associate or higher

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the business strategy and adjusting to effectively reach goals
  • Driving revenue by proactively managing the client experience while effectively performing Manager On Duty responsibilities – Assuming the MOD role when Store Manager and Assistant Manager are not on the salesfloor
  • Utilizing tools to ensure a customer-focused team environment
  • Anticipating customer needs while communicating store metrics and individual performance to motivate teammates
  • Make effective merchandising decisions
  • Leveraging tools, assessing, and taking action to drive operational excellence through Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Ensure optimal coverage and productivity in all areas of the store
  • Complete daily tasks to ensure store runs smoothly and meets all Bull Moose standards and guidelines
  • Reports to work as scheduled; remains flexible to the needs of the business
  • Coaching teammates “in the moment” on customer interactions and performance to maximize productivity and capture client opportunities
  • Provide guidance to teammates to help develop and sharpen skills
  • Provide feedback to upper-level management
  • Possessing keys to the store, performing opening, and closing procedures in the absence of management (e.g., opening/closing registers, bank deposits, filling in, cleaning, retrieves/send email, accept/receive shipment)
  • Assuming privileges for register functions requiring approval
