About The Position

Responsible for the efficient operations of the surveillance department during assigned shift. Protect company assets by observing gaming and non-gaming activities to ensure safety, integrity, security and company policies and procedures are followed. Observe gaming and non-gaming activity by monitoring electronic surveillance equipment to ensure compliance with applicable laws, procedures, regulations and rules and protect company assets from illegal or questionable activities. Detect cheating, theft, embezzlement, illegal activities and procedure/policy violations in all areas of responsibility. Prepare reports and/or verbalize the occurrence of unusual activities to the Surveillance Manager, Director and/or department heads as required. Compile and maintain evidence to assist the property or BGC in any legal actions, employment matters and/or arbitration/grievance proceedings that may arise. Know how to operate all equipment used by the Surveillance Department and utilize them to their fullest capacity. Review coverage completed by agents and have additional coverage added when needed. Assign task to agents to agents on a daily basis when needed. Train, coach, discipline, supervise and handle scheduling of department employees. Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Three (3) years of practical surveillance experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of all table games rules, procedures, and gaming regulations.
  • Working knowledge of surveillance software and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of surveillance equipment.
  • Knowledge of state regulations, departmental procedures, and company policies.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain order in escalated situations.
  • Ability to sit and remain alert for extended periods.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
