About The Position

Morrison Living is hiring immediately for a part time SHIFT SUPERVISOR position at Pickersgill Retirement Community located at 615 Chestnut Avenue, Towson, MD 21204. The schedule is part time, from Friday through Wednesday, with Thursday off. Candidates must be willing to work some holidays, with more details provided during the interview. The position offers a fixed pay rate of $23.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Prior hospitality supervisory experience in fine dining and retirement communities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.
• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
