About The Position

The Shift Supervisor (Inbound and Outbound) is responsible for managing all day-to-day activities related to a particular shift in either the receiving (inbound) or shipping (outbound) function of the production area/warehouse. This role ensures operational efficiency, team productivity, and compliance with safety and quality standards while meeting company KPIs and customer service expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (required); Associate degree or vocational training in logistics/supply chain is a plus.
  • 2–4 years of warehouse/dock experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role in operations, logistics, warehouse, or supply chain management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to drive efficiency, process improvements, and streamline operations.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed (including nights/weekends in peak periods).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Food or Produce specific industry is a plus.
  • Experience managing temporary and full-time staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and monitor daily operations and personnel during assigned shift.
  • Ensure employees follow safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Assign and adjust work schedules and responsibilities to meet production or operational demands.
  • Train and coach team members on standard operating procedures (SOPs), equipment, and performance expectations.
  • Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate goals, safety updates, and other operational information.
  • Monitor workflow to ensure productivity, order accuracy, and on-time completion of tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the shift, escalating when necessary.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping (attendance, production logs, inventory tracking, etc.).
  • Communicate shift reports and performance updates to management.
  • Promote teamwork, employee engagement, and a respectful workplace culture.
  • Adhere to all Food Defense, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and HACCP program requirements.
  • Own and execute all Quality Management System (QMS) processes relevant to ECP operations.
  • Ensure compliance with general safety and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, USDA, FDA, and Texas state regulations.
  • Successfully manage daily operations and productivity of a dynamic temporary workforce.
