About The Position

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production safety, product quality, and productivity on the manufacturing floor. This includes ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), monitoring yield produced by each shift, and managing the overall productivity of the team. The supervisor will conduct job observations to assess associates' skills, address any defects, and ensure on-site conditions are optimal for production. Training will be a key component of this role, focusing on equipment operation, quality standards, and process requirements. The supervisor will also handle emergency issues such as equipment breakdowns and production problems.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety rules and operating instructions
  • Effective communication skills with team members and leadership
  • 1 to 3 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent education
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
  • Ability to pass static strength requirements
  • Clarity of vision for close and distant tasks
  • Three-dimensional vision and color identification skills
  • Ability to perform basic math operations
  • Knowledge of manufacturing software
  • Forklift operation certification required
  • Familiarity with 5S principles
  • Understanding of equipment and mechanical structures

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-shift meetings
  • Oversee the assembly process of finished products
  • Provide guidance and leadership to personnel and motivate associates
  • Maintain grid whiteboard and provide direction to associates
  • Audit glass and manage Plex entry
  • Report to Lead Supervisor and organize production based on orders
  • Manage shift production quality and cost, controlling KPIs
  • Implement pre-shift meeting regulations and report issues
  • Solve production issues and organize personnel to address problems
  • Coordinate work and assist financial and statistics departments
  • Supervise preparation of each position before production
  • Implement initial, formal, and multi-position training
  • Collect and analyze shift production data, reporting to Lead Supervisor
  • Manage 5 Star kanban and conduct TPM activities
  • Implement 5S and visionary management on-site
  • Follow emergency plan instructions in case of emergencies
  • Manage quality document and record management
  • Double-check production report accuracy and system imports
  • Identify workplace hazards and control methods
  • Implement comprehensive management system regulations
  • Manage sorting and storage of waste
  • Assist with other matters as assigned
