About The Position

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for running Front of House operations during their scheduled shift or cruise. In the absence of — or in support of — the Senior F&B Manager, the Shift Supervisor ensures smooth service flow, strong team communication, and exceptional guest experiences from start to finish. You are both a player and a coach — Leading by example while maintaining a visible, engaged presence on the floor and behind the bar. This position can be part-time (approx. 20 hours/week) or full-time (approx. 40 hours/week). For full-time team members, 20 hours per week will be dedicated to bartending shifts, with the remaining hours serving in a leadership capacity.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of bartending experience required
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or key-holder experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of craft cocktails, beer, and wine
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
  • Ability to stay calm and solution-focused in high-volume environments
  • ServSafe Alcohol (or ability to obtain)
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Front of House operations during assigned shift/cruise
  • Supervisor pre-shift meetings and set clear service expectations
  • Ensure service standards, brand presentation, and guest experience excellence
  • Monitor floor flow, staffing coverage, and pace of service
  • Support team members with coaching and real-time problem solving
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
  • Complete shift reports and communicate operational updates to Senior F&B Manager
  • Prepare and serve craft cocktails, beer, and wine to brand standards
  • Deliver engaging, elevated bar service
  • Maintain bar cleanliness, inventory levels, and presentation
  • Accurately process POS transactions
  • Monitor responsible alcohol service practices
