Marksman Security Is Now Hiring For: Site Security Manager Site Location: Toyota Manufacturing Plant – TMMTX - San Antonio, TX Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour Schedule: 12-hour & 8-hour Shifts (Days/Afternoons/Nights as assigned) Position Summary: The Shift Security Lieutenant serves as the on-duty supervisor responsible for overseeing all security operations and personnel during an assigned shift at the Toyota Manufacturing Plant. This position ensures consistent enforcement of site policies, security procedures, and client standards. The Lieutenant provides leadership, direction, and support to the security team, ensuring a safe, secure, and professional environment across all areas of the facility. Purpose of the Position: The purpose of the Shift Security Lieutenant role is to ensure the integrity, safety, and continuity of security operations at the Toyota Manufacturing Plant through effective supervision, accountability, and adherence to company and client standards. The Lieutenant serves as the direct link between the security team and site management, promoting operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field preferred.
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate site vehicles safely.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must successfully pass background check, drug screening, and any required client security clearance.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, and incident management systems).
Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
Ability to respond quickly in emergencies.
Work may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions and industrial environments.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct all on-duty security officers assigned to the shift.
Conduct roll calls, shift briefings, and ensure proper post coverage at all times.
Maintain the Supervisor Binder as an inspectable item—ensuring all required reports, rosters, and documentation are accurate and up to date.
Perform inspections of posts, patrol routes, gates, and equipment to verify compliance with policies and performance standards.
Act as the primary point of contact for shift operations, incidents, and emergencies; coordinate response actions and notifications per site protocol.
Ensure adherence to Toyota and Marksman safety and security policies, including access control, visitor management, and emergency response procedures.
Conduct on-the-job training and mentoring for officers to reinforce professionalism, customer service, and situational awareness.
Communicate effectively with security analyst, the fire brigade, maintenance, and emergency services when required.
Address performance or conduct issues promptly and report findings to the Site Security Chief.
Ensure professional appearance, uniform compliance, and readiness of all personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Security Chief, Assistant Security Chief, or client representatives.
Act as a backup for Captain/Chief/or Site Manager.
Prepare and review written reports, including incident reports, daily activity logs, and personnel performance documentation.
Ensure accuracy of Incident Reports daily (i.e., grammatical, detail-oriented, 5 whys answered, etc.)
