About The Position

The general function of this position is to operate the chemical process within the assigned area in a safe and efficient manner to produce a high-quality product. This role involves working 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the operation of the plant is accomplished in an environmentally responsible manner and in compliance with all Safety, Health, and Environmental Policy. The starting hourly pay rate is $30.76, and Tronox offers a competitive benefits program with a range of options that can be tailored to meet personal or family circumstances.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Gold or above on the ACT Work Keys Assessment preferred
• 3 years industrial manufacturing experience preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Manufacturing Basic Skills Certification preferred
• Forklift operating experience preferred
• Front end loading experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Offload hazardous chemicals
• Read and comprehend standard operating procedures and piping and instrumentation diagrams
• Understand the process flow and production requirements for the area assigned
• Complete the necessary training and maintain refresher hours as required
• Stand for prolonged periods of time
• Lift 55 pounds or more
• Perform general housekeeping to include sweeping and shoveling
• Work in extreme weather conditions to include hot, cold, and rainy weather
• Climb ladder to work at heights
• Walk extended distance to perform track work
• Operate forklifts and front end loaders
• Attend and participate in HAZMAT certification, Fire/Rope rescue team training, and First Aid
• Work overtime coverage as required based on plant and shift needs
• Write notifications and complete work orders in SAP
• Data entry and tracking using Microsoft Excel
• Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting of rotating equipment
• Consistently apply Outward Mindset Principles & Tools
