About The Position

The Track, the Southeast’s karting leader and innovator since 1986, is seeking a talented full-time Shift Manager to work with our Operations Team at our exciting and fast-paced Destin Family Fun Center. Requirements

  • Must be able to safely lift/push/pull heavy objects (up to 50lbs)
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional and positive attitude
  • Ability to work with prolonged periods of walking, kneeling, and standing
  • Ability to work outdoors in variations of weather
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
  • Maintain appropriate confidential information
  • Innovative leadership skills to include mentoring, motivating, and delegation
  • Excellent communication, time-management, planning and organizational skills
  • Customer Service: Minimum 2 Years
  • Experience in hospitality, amusement/entertainment, or restaurant industries
  • Cash Handling Experience: Minimum 3 Years

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year or more Team Leadership Experience; or
  • Recommendation of current supervisor based on aptitude for excellent leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Customer interaction and assessment of all facets of the customer experience
  • Cash handling duties including preparation of tills, change fund maintenance, and preparation of deposits
  • Ensuring that cashier personnel adhere to correct cash handling procedures and sell effectively
  • Ensuring that all staff are strictly adhering to company policies and guest service standards
  • Ensure safe operation of all amusement attractions, including kart races, thrill rides, and family attractions
  • Assisting with staffing duties including hiring, training, and disciplinary action
  • Performing operational paperwork duties including safety, payroll, facility
  • Contributing to schedules and employee communications
  • Corresponding with and providing regular reports to other members of the management team
  • Maintaining the highest standard of facility appearance, including storage areas and the parking lot
  • Coordination with General Manager and fellow operations team to ensure that all facility maintenance is performed quickly
  • Maintaining efficient and effective operation in accordance with business needs
  • Ordering and purchasing operation supplies and merchandise as needed
