About The Position

Position Summary The Shift Manager oversees the shift to ensure all operations departments are running safely and efficiently. This position is responsible for ensuring that KPI’s and department goals are achieved and reported on. Schedule 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM Friday-Monday Must be flexible and available for overtime as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Direct & manage all plant operations during your respective shift Ensure communication lines are in place and relay any relevant information to upper management, regardless of time of day. Monitor and drive KPI’s and efficiencies set forth. Monitor and drive NetSuite accuracies as all departments. Ensure production, bottling and HPP follow the SKU processing matrices set forth in daily meetings. Address any management issues as needed. Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives. Incorporates production floor organization and cleanliness among plant personnel. Identify cost savings opportunities in each department. Monitor staffing levels and make recommendations for cost cutting improvements on labor. Create and implement SOP’s you deem necessary for proper shift operation. Implement safety walkthroughs on each shift to audit key safety areas. Make decisions and have conversations as needed, holding people accountable. Perform Safety Audits and Plant Walkthroughs. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions related to safety, equipment operation, and daily work assignments. Regular and reliable attendance. Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor. Non-Essential Job Duties May perform similar and incidental duties as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School diploma.
  • 2–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required; manager-level experience preferred.
  • Experience leading managers and supervisors.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, identify and resolve issues, meet deadlines, and stay within budget.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills required.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Prolonged computer use, including light to heavy keyboard and screen time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push or pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Requires extended periods of sitting and working at a computer screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • HACCP knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with 5S and Lean / Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
  • NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SQF standards preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI) principles is a plus.
  • Positive, “can-do” attitude.
  • Spanish is a plus.
