About The Position

Shift Managers manage day-to-day operational responsibilities in all facets of the guest experience.  Shift Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to: implementation of operation procedures in accordance with attraction, State, and Federal requirements, training of staff members for safe operation of attractions, development of frontline attraction staff, oversight of daily guest experience, constructive conflict resolution for guests and team members, and operational responsibilities throughout the park as assigned. Shift Managers are tasked with creating an organized, pleasant, and safe environment on park each day for guests and employees. Shift Manager job functions occur primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions and require physical activity throughout work hours.

Requirements

  • Must be able to safely lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs with or without assistance
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional and positive attitude
  • Ability to bend forward and down, stand, kneel, and squat repeatedly throughout workday
  • Ability to work outdoors and in all weather conditions including direct sunlight, hot/cold weather, and rain
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
  • Maintain appropriate confidential information
  • Excellent communication, time-management, planning and organizational skills
  • Supervisory Experience: Minimum 2 Years
  • Experience in hospitality, amusement/entertainment, or restaurant industries
  • Cash Handling Experience: Minimum 3 Years
  • Flexible availability including days, nights, and weekends; holidays may be required

Responsibilities

  • Actively supervise operation of all attractions on location to ensure safety standards are being met
  • Supervise guest interactions with frontline staff with continued coaching for optimal guest experience
  • Lead by example with exceptional customer interactions and assessment of all facets of the guest experience
  • Cash handling duties including preparation of tills, change fund maintenance, and preparation of deposits
  • Supervision of cashier personnel to ensure adherence to proper cash handling procedures
  • Assist with staffing duties including hiring, training, and disciplinary action as assigned
  • Performing operational paperwork duties including safety, payroll, facility
  • Contributing to schedules and employee communications
  • Corresponding with and providing regular reports to other members of the management team
  • Maintaining the highest standard of facility appearance, including storage areas and the parking lot
  • Coordination with General Manager and fellow operations team to ensure that all facility maintenance is performed quickly
  • Maintaining efficient and effective operation in accordance with business needs
  • Ordering and purchasing operation supplies and merchandise as needed
