Job Posting: Kontoor US, LLC: Shift Manager – El Paso, TX DUTIES: Responsible for providing direction, leadership and recommendations to drive distribution efforts for the whole Distribution Center regardless of shift and department. Responsible for managing and overseeing the overall distribution operation to ensure that the product is shipped accurately and meeting the established metrics. Works in hand on a daily basis with finance, logistics and customer service to assure inventory accuracy and availability plus enhance the customer experience. Accountable for reaching short- and long-term goals and execution of functional strategy. Communicates, meets, and works with external departments such as Logistics, Customer Service and Finance, all with the objective to determine the accuracy and availability of the inventory, while ensuring that the product gets shipped, regardless of shift, under the priorities and requirements established from the customer. Works in hand with Engineering to determine the correct amount of staffing needed throughout the DC and amongst shifts and different areas. Works in cost saving projects that will impact the cost per piece of the Distribution Center. Ensures supervisor/manager accountability for cost standards. Collaborates with DC Director to ensure shift meets required productivity and cost goals. Co-chair of the Central Safety and Health Committee, which will help define safety and health standards and assures that these are followed throughout the facility. Accountable for the performance and the results of multiple related units. Ensures accountability for the shifts and department metrics to meet customer service requirements. Reviews that supervisor/manager are being held accountable for following SOP’s. Coordinates with Office Manager DC and other shift managers on the workload balance (Planning, Order Scheduling & Execution). Coordinates and works with HR on the policy formation, plus in the coaching and leadership development of direct reports across shifts including performance management. Engages the shifts to be actively involved in the facilities’ positive community activities. Communicates and creates a collaborative team environment amongst the shifts, as well as other external functional areas as needed to improve service and provide requested information. Must be flexible to work among shifts, including overnight shift as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related logistics field and 5 years of supervisory experience in Distribution or Manufacturing.
  • 5 years of experience with Warehouse Management systems or Equivalent in Production Environment
  • 5 years of experience with Incentive Pay systems
  • 5 years of experience in OSHA safety programs or related
  • 5 years of working in off shift environments
  • 3 years of experience in the usage of SAP and Microsoft office programs
  • 3 years of experience in creating reports using Power BI
  • 3 years of experience creating web based short programs
  • Needs to be 100% fully bilingual (English/Spanish)
