POSITION OVERVIEW The hands-on Shift Manager will oversee daily operations during assigned shifts at our coffee restaurant. This role is ideal for someone with leadership experience in food service who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The Shift Manager is responsible for supervising staff, maintaining quality service, ensuring operational efficiency, and delivering an outstanding guest experience. Requirements

  • 1–2 years of supervisory experience in a coffee shop, café, or fast-paced restaurant setting preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Ability to lead by example in customer service, professionalism, and work ethic.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store during scheduled shifts.
  • Supervise baristas and kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness, and product quality.
  • Open or close the store as assigned, following proper procedures.
  • Handle cash register operations, including balancing drawers and daily financial reporting.
  • Assist with training new team members and reinforcing company standards.
  • Manage inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Enforce health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with upper management regarding staffing, performance, and shift activities.
