About The Position

THG Nutrition Manufacturing is seeking a Shift Manager to oversee operations at our Warrington facility. This role is crucial in ensuring that safety, quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met while managing a team of approximately 30 employees. The Shift Manager will report to the Manufacturing Manager and will work night shifts, with specific hours to be discussed during the interview. The position involves liaising with support functions, conducting performance management, and leading the team to create a high-performance culture. The ideal candidate will have experience in FMCG and a strong focus on operational excellence.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory FMCG role preferred
• Good levels of literacy and numeracy for paperwork and rota completion
• Basic computer skills including Word and basic spreadsheets
• Level 3 Food Hygiene Award
• IOSH Managing Safely or Level 3 Health and Safety certification
• Experience managing, motivating, coaching, and developing high-performing teams in food manufacturing
• Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Team-oriented with the ability to analyze data and results
• Flexible with regards to shifts, supporting both day and night teams

Responsibilities

• Managing approximately 30 employees
• Ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met
• Managing all aspects of the shift and exceeding operational KPIs
• Liaising and coordinating with support functions for production planning
• Communicating with teams through visual management and shift briefs
• Conducting performance management and regular reviews of team members
• Maintaining safe working practices and adherence to Standard Operations
• Challenging non-conformance and implementing counter-measures
• Leading and motivating the team to create a high-performance culture
• Utilizing World Class Manufacturing techniques to exceed company targets
• Providing leadership and development opportunities for team members
