About The Position

Essential Functions Responsible for the safety, quality, and production of assigned crew and shift by providing direction and leadership to the hourly workforce and the HE, Coatings and CE shift supervisors. Responsible for investigation of all safety incidents on their crew. Responsible for troubleshooting all quality issues on their crew. Must communicate yield losses from budget on previous shift and implement changes to improve current shift. Check on adherence to production schedule and make corrective actions to minimize yield losses. Communicate any required SOP changes to the appropriate area team leaders. Consult team leaders and area managers regarding department priorities. Escalate problems on the shift according to the escalation protocol of the department. Communicate and execute plans developed by area team leaders. Communicate with shift 1st operator and prioritize shift activities. Support HE, coatings and CE supervisors as needed. Oversee training for these individuals as needed. Ensure 5S of the area is being completed and interact with supervisors to act accordingly with an educational mind-set. Oversee to ensure that employees are provided opportunities for training on various tasks and communicate training gaps to area team leaders. Ensure key process parameters are followed and interact with supervisors with an educational mind-set. Responsible for manpower utilization, employee productivity, and discipline issues. Monitor yield losses and key performance indicators frequently throughout the shift and ensure process adjustments are made as required to meet or exceed budget yield targets. Contact appropriate area team leaders/ process improvers or group leaders as needed to resolve issues quickly. Act as a role model to the team in terms of safety, quality and performance towards the operational excellence. Use education as the process to increase the shift team performance. Ensure all equipment is performing as required and meeting production requirements. Ensure equipment is tested and ready for use. Utilize maintenance system to address equipment and facility issues to be repaired. SELECTION CRITERIA Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility Demonstrated customer service skills / attitude. Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent planning and organizational skills Demonstrated leadership and people skills. Ability to work with other departments and using influence to accomplish company goals. Knowledge of Microsoft applications. Demonstrated attention to details. Demonstrated ability in innovative, developing, and results oriented competencies

Requirements
