About The Position

At Einstein Bros. Bagels, we believe in the bagel and have been baking them fresh daily since 1995. Our bakeries aim to spread joy and happiness, and we are committed to work-life balance for our team, with stores closing at 2 PM, ensuring no evening or night shifts. We are seeking a Shift Leader to join our team. Shift Leaders are crucial to the operation, collaborating directly with the General Manager to motivate the team and deliver an excellent guest experience. They are empowered to set the team's morale and tone, provide feedback, coach team members, and handle store opening and closing procedures with minimal supervision. Our teams prioritize food and beverage quality and maintaining a safe and clean store environment. This role offers significant career growth opportunities, with many General Managers having started as Shift Leaders or Team Members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates including early hours (as early as 3am depending on the restaurant) and weekends
• Must be able to pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law
• Must be in possession of, or able to acquire, a ServSafe Certification prior to completion of leadership training

Nice To Haves

• Possession of a current, valid, state issued driver’s license (always preferred but only required at specific locations)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the General Manager to help motivate the team to deliver a great guest experience
• Take charge and set the morale and tone of the team
• Provide feedback and coach team members when needed
• Open and close the store with little to no supervision
• Ensure the quality of the food and beverages served
• Keep a safe and clean store environment
