This position is fully accountable for the profitable operation of a specific shift designated by the General Manager while adhering to all company guidelines and regulations. The Shift Leader ensures the restaurant is in full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health, hour and wage, age restrictions, fair employment practices, and ADA. They are responsible for ensuring knowledge, adherence, and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs® Policies and Procedures. The role ensures the profitability of the business by operating shifts within established guidelines for food cost, labor, controllables, utilities, and sales growth. The Shift Leader provides leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior guest service, quality, and cleanliness while embracing the Firehouse Subs® “culture” and mission and vision statements. They assist the General Manager in coordinating and implementing current operations game plans and company initiatives in a profitable and timely manner, and participate in interviewing, hiring, training, and disciplining employees under the guidance of the GM. The Shift Leader ensures all required programs, reports, and legal documents are accurate, complete, and accomplished on schedule, and actively participates in all Public Safety Foundation initiatives. They represent Firehouse Subs® in a professional, positive manner at all times and communicate effectively to the GM/Owner any and all issues that may impact the business. Firehouse Subs® is a restaurant chain founded in 1994 by former firefighters, known for hearty food, heartfelt service, and public safety commitment, including the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation®. This franchise is independently owned and operated by a franchisee.
