About The Position

At Einstein Bros. Bagels, we believe in the bagel and have been baking them fresh daily since 1995. Our bakeries aim to spread joy and happiness, emphasizing laughter, smiles, and enjoying each other's company, especially with bagels. We are committed to work-life balance for our team, with stores closing at 2pm, ensuring no evening or night shifts. We are looking for a Shift Leader who, like cream cheese on a bagel, adds flavor and helps hold the team together. Shift Leaders collaborate with the General Manager to motivate the team, deliver great guest experiences, and set the morale and tone. They provide feedback, coach team members, and are responsible for opening and closing the store with minimal supervision. The role involves ensuring food and beverage quality and maintaining a safe and clean store environment. There are opportunities for career growth, with many General Managers having started as Shift Leaders or Team Members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to work varied hours/days as business dictates including early hours (as early as 3am depending on the restaurant) and weekends
• Must be able to pass background check as applicable with local, state, and federal law
• Must be in possession of, or able to acquire, a ServSafe Certification prior to completion of leadership training

Nice To Haves

• Possession of a current, valid, state issued driver’s license (always preferred but only required at specific locations)
• Meet the driving qualifications as required by Company policy

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with the General Manager to help motivate the team to deliver a great guest experience
• Take charge and set the morale and tone of the team
• Provide feedback and coach team members when needed
• Open and close the store with little to no supervision
• Ensure the quality of the food and beverages served
• Keep a safe and clean store environment
