About The Position

Serve as a safety champion for the facility and ensure that safety standards are met and that 
safety huddles are fresh and timely. In conjunction with Plant Manager, coordinate and conduct monthly 
safety meetings keeping the topics fresh and relevant. Notify Plant Manager regarding safety concerns 
and identify resolutions to the concerns.

2. Lead, support and follow Lean Manufacturing Principles to ensure maximum efficiency of all operations.

3. Utilize D365 to the fullest extent to improve efficiencies throughout the plant and office functions. Support 
the best practices identified within AX.

4. Manage production scheduling for the facility. In conjunction with production scheduling, schedule 
employees work hours to ensure optimum labor hours/costs while ensuring customer service levels 
maintained by manufacturing quality products on time and ready for delivery or pick up as appropriate.

5. Actively participate in reporting, investigating and resolving customer complaints and non-conformances 
and update QA database. Review findings with appropriate staff and implement changes in procedures or 
protocols as needed.

6. Work with government agencies and quality assurance departments as needed in support of audit 
activities, permits and other regulatory needs.

7. Strive for plant improvements and increased efficiencies. Support new objectives and initiatives as 
identified by the company.

8. Be familiar with handbooks and union contracts as appropriate. Ensure staff is aware of, and in 
compliance with, established work rules, policies and procedures. As needed, work with Plant Manager 
and Human Resources regarding appropriate discipline of staff.

9. Maintain plant facilities in good working order and ensure housekeeping of facility is completed as 
outlined. Coordinate emergency maintenance as needed.

10. Assist the Plant Manager in capital expenditure projects and actively participate in researching,
