This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of hardworking team of specialists, you will be responsible for supporting Fluids Systems Components to perform development, qualification and acceptance testing of vehicle flight components and sub-assemblies. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of high pressure fluid systems, cryogenic fluids and data acquisition systems. By leading the day-to-day operations of the Precision Tube Shop, including developing resource plans, training/OJT profiles, assigning tasks, prioritizing work orders and conducting performance reviews you will directly impact the history of space exploration! Additional responsibilities include: Support the qualification effort of flight critical fluid system manufacturing processes including CNC tube bending, precision tube inspection and Hydrostatic pressure testing Work with engineering to develop a production readiness state through process standardization and documentation Support the development of specialized training/OJT packages as required. Maintain department training matrix to continue workforce development, and retain the critical skills required. Ensure area meets strict FOD and 5S requirements Ensure area meets all Blue Origin specifications relative to Fluid System Components. Assist in the forecasting and developing recovery plans for constraints critical to vehicle delivery schedule. Interface with area leadership to prioritize work based on production schedule and organizational goals. Implement and refine new manufacturing processes. Review work instructions and provide recommended changes where necessary. Ensure product quality and conformance to engineering specifications. Develop and implement cost reductions processes and efficiency improvement measures. Support the setup new production work areas, including layouts, and equipment setup, etc. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.
